The City Council is the quasi-judicial branch of our local government. The City Council is composed of a mayor and 6 councilors. The councilors serve for a term of 4 years, and the mayor serves for a term of 2 years. The Council adopts ordinances, passes resolutions, sets policies, adopts the budget, and conducts public meetings.
